Klavdij Sluban

I decided to use the work of Klavdij Sluban for my emulation assignment. Klavdij Sluban is a photographer of Slovenian origin basen of France. He uses literary references in his work and although much of his photography is of his travels, he is little interested in current affairs and photographic journalism but more on the personal reality he encounters. He uses heavy siluettes and shadows, and his body of work includes pictures from his trips to the Caribbean, the Balkans and the Middle East, and photographs from adolescents in a juvenile prison. I decided to work on him because of the rawness that is present in his pictures, and the almost poetic way he explores crude reality.
